Ligustrum - The first one (tf1)
2021-01-17
I did my real first Bonsai in 1993... really. I was 11 and I didn't know anything about Bonsai trees. It was a pine, and with the help of a book I did my best efforts and keep it alive for 2-3 years :-(
So on 2017, when I bought my house, I decided to start again with Bonsai trees as a hobby. This was my first attempt, my first pre-bonsai tree.
Although those photos are from December 10, 2020 I have been taking care of it since 2017. I choosed the Ligustrum because in my home it grew like grass... an seems to support every rough condition that you can imagine. A couple of years later, reading more about Ligustrum, I realized that indeed it's a plague (ES) and is killing the native trees of my country (ES).
Anyway, the first advice I read here, that I support 100% is: start working with a local tree, a tree used to your weather and soil... so I started (again) with a Ligustrum.
