EasyCharge - Plataforma de gestión de puntos de carga para vehículos eléctricos
EasyCharge is a service-oriented platform for managing electric-vehicle charging networks, built with a client company to reduce reliance on third-party charging platforms and support the growth of their charger network. *Disclaimer*: I've participated in this project *only* on my role of tutor.
EasyCharge is a platform prototype for managing electric-vehicle charging networks, developed in collaboration with a client company specialized in EV charging solutions. The project responds to the company's need to scale its charger network while reducing dependence on third-party platforms, whose limitations constrained process automation, feature customization, and the user experience.
The solution is built on a service-oriented architecture that manages charging infrastructure, monitors charger status, and handles user charging sessions. Communication with physical chargers uses the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), while integrated digital payment mechanisms enable monetizing the service.
On top of this platform, the team built a mobile app for drivers—to locate chargers, manage charging sessions, and handle payments—and a web admin panel for internal staff to centrally monitor and manage the network.
The project followed a full software engineering process, from requirements gathering through architecture, development, and quality management, using agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban). The result is a functional prototype that provides a solid technical foundation for evolving toward a production system.
