Faculty-Hub - Sistema de gestión académica
Platform: Web (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, AWS)
Faculty-Hub is a cloud-based web platform designed to optimize and centralize academic planning, reducing administrative load through automated teacher assignment and streamlined semester management. *Disclaimer*: I've participated in this project *only* on my role of tutor.
Academic planning in higher education often involves complex coordination across multiple dimensions: semesters, subjects, schedules, and faculty availability. Faculty-Hub was developed as a comprehensive cloud-based solution to centralize and optimize these processes.
The primary goal of the platform is to reduce the administrative burden on coordinators by providing tools that facilitate decision-making and minimize human error. Key features include:
- Centralized Management: Unified tracking of semesters, subjects, and course deliveries.
- Automated Assignment: A specialized Python module designed to optimize the allocation of faculty members to specific course dictations.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Fully deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to ensure high availability and scalability.
The system was built with a modern stack consisting of a responsive React frontend using TypeScript for type safety, and a robust Node.js backend to handle data orchestration. Faculty-Hub represents a significant step forward in academic management, improving the operational flow for both coordinators and faculty members.
